Step 1: Remove plug with washers from the Ducky.

Step 2: Remove one of the two washers from the plug (leaving one washer on the bottom).

Step 3: Lay your fishing line or leader through the slot on the plug.

Step 4: Replace the washer you just removed onto the plug, sandwiching the fishing line between the two washers.

Step 5: Reinsert the plug into the Ducky.
